LR4 2.7lt fuel temp sensor fault message. Hi all the other day I had the restricted performance message and triangle come up on the dash, now there was no noticeable difference in driving but I pulled over and switched off the car for a few minutes then drove off and all good. Hiya. did u change just the filter or sensor as well, take the water in filter sensor connector apart and ensure itβs clean, use a multimeter set to ohms both sides of the connector to ensure the pins inside are good both sides of the connector. hope that helps a little and please let us know how u get on as can find wiring diagrams etc for u.

The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle on the OS just in front of the tank. You will need the gearbox undertray off and there is a guard / heatshield that needs to be removed. LR service schedules state it should be changed every 2 years regardless of mileage. Thanks. Brian.
First, make sure the engine is cold and then take out the fuel pump and run the engine to get rid of the pressure from the fuel rail. After that, remove the fuel injector and clean it. Step 3. Work on either one of the fuel lines connected to the filter by holding the molded nut at the end of the filter with a backup wrench and unfasten the line retaining nut with a flare wrench. Use a shop rag to absorb any residual fuel in the line. Disconnect the line on the other end of the filter using the same procedure.
The fuel filter on the TDV6 is located behind the fuel cooler at the rear of the engine. It is mounted inboard of, and attached to, the RH chassis rail. The filter element is within a housing which is held in position by a horizontal clamp via a bolt & nut.
